Charmant Som

Welcome

The Gîte du Chant de l’Eau receives visitors all year round, from the four corners of France, Europe and indeed the whole planet.

Visitors come to discover the nature and culture of the Chartreuse region and its surroundings.

In the summer our guests are often walkers, whilst in winter we welcome many cross-country skiers and those who enjoy snow-shoeing.

Of course, sometimes it is simply the pure desire to take a break in peaceful surroundings that leads our visitors to us.

We also welcome numerous guests who are visiting Grenoble for professional reasons, who come to stay at the Chant de l’Eau in order to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and its suburbs, and to enjoy the convivial atmosphere at our evening dining table.

The gîte was once a traditional barn, and whilst it has every modern convenience, great care has been taken to preserve the charming character of the original building.

Situated on the edge of the village, opposite the forest, it is dominated by the summit of Chamechaude, the highest mountain in the Chartreuse region.

The Chant de l’Eau is a WWF PANDA gîte
