Access

By foot

The Chant de l’Eau gîte is on the GR9 walking trail which links Grenoble and Culoz des GRP Tour et Traversée of the Chartreuse.
You should allow 5 hours of walking if coming from Grenoble, and 3.5 hours from St Pierre de Chartreuse. 

To get to the gîte from the GR9, leave the route at the place which is marked as ‘La Croix du Rocher’, and continue for 80m, coming down the hill on a small road named ‘Mollard-Giroud’.

By train

Grenoble is 3 hours by train (TGV) from Paris, and 4 hours from Lille. Grenoble train station is 13km away from the Chant de l’Eau gîte.

To get from Grenoble train station to Le Sappey:

The VFD coach company runs a service to Le Sappey.
Allow for a 30 minute journey (Attention: at certain times, the service does not run direct from the station. You can take the tram in order to get to the coach stop in town. This is in front of the museum). www.vfd.fr
